The students will restore the old image using tools and techniques in Photoshop to bring the image back to its original form. ASSIGNMENT: You will download the original image and restore it to look like the complete image below. You can use the techniques we learned last week utilizing the spot healing brush, patch tool etc. Don't forget to not edit on the original image and use the steps addressed. You must use Photoshop to restore the image. When you are finished please save the image as a .psd with the layers and then flatten and save. Please POST BOTH FILES to the Padlet. The students will use all of the techniques and skills they have acquired over the course of the semester to create an collection of 9 edited images with correct exposure and composition. The images must contain a theme in the images. The students will perform a photoshop composite with resource images to show they have mastered the photoshop composite skills using the correct tools. You will work with a partner and you will shoot your images in Manual mode. Please make sure both you and your partner shoot the required images to show that each of you understand the concepts. Each of these images below will require you to have perfect exposure....remember 0 out the ticker on the inside. Correct settings for your SHUTTER, APERTURE, and ISO are most important! The students will understanding how manual mode works in their camera and how to use the settings to achieve proper exposure.

The students will apply flat lay concepts to the objects in the blind bags. The students will use correct composition and editing skills to shoot and edit their images. ASSIGNMENT:
You will choose items to photograph for various flat lays. You must then arrange those objects in the table top studios with studio lights. Then you must arrange the objects using the techniques used for Flat lay photography. Think about the following.
You will be using the LIGHTROOM on your computer to cull and edit your images. This is your summative grade lab. Submit FIVE DIFFERENT IMAGES WITH A DIFFERENT ARRANGEMENT THAT ARE EDITED TO THE PADLET. Please use Lightroom Classic on your computers to edit the following images. You will need to download each image and put it in a folder called LIGHTROOM EDITS.
Then IMPORT THEM INTO LIGHTROOM CREATE a collection: You must select them all Ctrl + A then go to LIBRARY on TOP menu bar and select NEW COLLECTION to name the collection LIGHTROOM EDITS Then hit the DEVELOP tab near the right and edit all of the images! Give them 5 Stars when they are edited. You and a partner will choose n number and then pick up your blind bag full of objects. You must then arrange those objects on a blank black surface (ART BOARD WILL BE PROVIDED IN CLASS). Then you and your partner must arrange the objects using the techniques used for Flat lay photography. Think about the following.
You will be using the LIGHTROOM MOBILE APP TO SHOOT YOUR PRACTICE IMAGES - USE THE MANUAL MODES FOR WB, ISO, EXPOSURE Submit THREE DIFFERENT IMAGES WITH A DIFFERENT ARRANGEMENT THAT ARE EDITED TO THE PADLET. |
