The student will create headshots of various emotions using technique, composition, and elements of art and pronciples of design as it relates to portraiture. MOOD PORTRAITS Create a grid of 16 mood portraits by photographing different words from your handout and then using the Contact Sheet tool, create a 8 x 8 gird of 16 moods portraits and then convert to black and white and you will also leave one in color. Your back drop should be simple & clean. All your photos should be either vertical or horizontal. Your photos should be shot at close distance, head and framed well. Make sure one of your portraits are of someone in class. Submit both your black and white version and your color version. SUBMIT: PERIOD 1

The students will have 45 mins to shoot and edit an image in the theme of : SHALLOW DEPTH OF FIELD
SUBMIT: PERIOD 1 The students will restore the old image using tools and techniques in Photoshop to bring the image back to its original form.
ASSIGNMENT: You will download the original image and restore it to look like the complete image below. You can use the techniques we learned last week utilizing the spot healing brush, patch tool etc. Don't forget to not edit on the original image and use the steps addressed last week. You must use Photoshop to restore the image. When you are finished please save the image as a .psd with the layers and then flatten and save. Please POST BOTH FILES to the Padlet. The student will understand basic photo composition techniques and vocabulary and demonstrate those techniques through the use of taking photographic images.
ASSIGNMENT: DAY 1: VOCABULARY Create a post on the Padlet below and define the following terms WITHOUT LOOKING THEM UP. If you must look it up please put a star next to it.
You will be photographing the following composition techniques in images in the theme of "BLUE". You will need to have one image that represents each technique and then you will be creating a CONTACT SHEET with each word labelled correctly.
SUBMIT: PERIOD 1 The students will use Canva to create vision boards relating to various areas of their lives. The vision boards should be very specific to the areas listed and show great composition techniques
Assignment: You will be using CANVA to create a vision board about yourself for the specific areas listed. In order to receive full points you must complete all areas. Your vision board should contain goals you have about the following:
Step 1: Log into CANVA Step 2: Make sure on the left hand side it says your period number Step 3: Go to create a design on the upper-left hand side Step 4: Type PRESENTATION in the search bar: choose the one that says 16:9 (You are only creating 1 page!) Step 5: Use the Elements [graphics, frames, photos] to create the vision board Step 6: Go to upper right-hand corner and go to SHARE, then DOWNLOAD, Then click download as a GIF Step 7: Upload your vision board to the Padlet below.
